Milestone tracking

One tap per milestone. Context on every single one.

Your IRCC account tells you a status changed. Our checklist tells you whether that's early, on time, or worth a follow-up. Every milestone carries a typical-day marker - the community median for files with your exact pathway and stream.

  • 13 milestones, every pathway: Express Entry (CEC, FSW, FST), PNP and spousal/family sponsorship, with the list adapting automatically (P1/P2 portal emails for inland, PPR for outland).
  • Typical-day markers: "background check typically starts ~day 62 for files like yours." Waiting stops feeling like guessing.
  • Background-check sub-stages: log criminality, security and information sharing from your own IRCC login. No other public dataset has this breakdown.
  • Smart date checks: the tracker flags dates before your AOR or in the future, so your timeline stays clean and your cohort data stays honest.
  • "Next up for you": always know which milestone to watch for and roughly when it should land.

Cohort groups

Your AOR month is your group. See exactly what it's getting.

IRCC broadly works through files in intake order - so the only comparison that means anything is people who got AOR the same month as you, on the same stream. The moment you enter your AOR date, you're placed in that cohort automatically.

  • Milestone reach rates: what % of your cohort has the BIL, has cleared medicals, has background checks running, has decisions. Updated as members log.
  • Your position, pinned: instantly see if you're ahead of, level with, or behind the pack - and by how many milestones.
  • Browse any month: peek at the cohorts ahead of you to preview what's coming, or behind you to see the queue building.
  • Inland vs outland, separated: because a Vancouver-processed inland file and a New Delhi outland file are different journeys.

Community timelines

Real applicants, real timelines - anonymous, always.

Every person who tracks their PR with GetNorthPath adds one more anonymous timeline to the community. Scroll the live feed to see who just got a PPR, whose background check just started, and how long each stage really took for files like yours.

  • Filter by what matters: pathway, AOR month, inland/outland, country. Find the timelines that look like yours.
  • Milestone-by-milestone dots: see at a glance which stage each file is at and on which day it got there.
  • Anonymous by design: display handles only. No names, no emails, no UCI or application numbers, ever.
  • Your timeline gives back: the milestones you log make the medians sharper for the next applicant. That's the whole idea.

Beyond the dashboard

The wait is easier with people in it with you.

Numbers tell you where your file is. The community tells you what it felt like, what to do next, and celebrates with you when the golden email lands. Join free - the tracker works fully without it, but it's better with it.

WhatsApp cohort groups

Getting started

Two steps. About two minutes.

No account, no GCKey, no application number. You check your status in your own IRCC account - this is where you make sense of it.

Step 1

Your application

Pick your pathway (CEC, FSW, FST, PNP or sponsorship), whether you're inland or outland, and your AOR date. That's enough to build your timeline and place you in your cohort.

Step 2

Your milestones

Tick milestones as they appear in your IRCC account. Your dashboard tracks days since AOR, journey progress, your expected decision window and what's next - while your cohort view updates live.

Common questions

Before you start

What exactly is a cohort group?+
Everyone who received AOR in the same month, on the same stream (inland or outland). Because IRCC broadly processes files in intake order, your AOR-month cohort is the most meaningful comparison group there is. Enter your AOR date and you're in - no joining step.
Can I see other people's timelines?+
Yes - every tracked application becomes an anonymous community timeline showing pathway, AOR month, and milestone days. Filter to your cohort to see exactly what statuses people around your AOR date are getting. Names, emails and application numbers are never shown.
Do I have to join WhatsApp or Facebook to use the tracker?+
No - the tracker is fully functional on its own. The communities are optional and free; most people join once their file hits the background-check stage and the questions start piling up.
Does this connect to my IRCC account?+
No, and be cautious of any tool that claims to. You check your status in your IRCC account or the official status tracker on canada.ca, then log it here. We never ask for your GCKey, UCI or application number.
Where do the "typical day" numbers come from?+
Community medians from tracked timelines with your pathway and stream. They're reference points, not IRCC promises - official standards (like the 6-month Express Entry standard) live on canada.ca, and our PR tracking guide explains every stage in depth.
Is it really free?+
Yes - free forever, no card, no signup to start. It's a community tool from GetNorthPath. If you're still before AOR, our $299 CAD flat-fee service handles the application itself with document validation and licensed-consultant review.
