Getting started

The basics

What is AORTrack?
AORTrack is a free Canada PR milestone tracker from GetNorthPath. You log the stages you see in your IRCC account - from AOR through biometrics, medical, background check, eligibility, decision, and PR card - then see day counts, typical-day markers, and how your file compares to others who got AOR in the same month.
Is AORTrack really free?
Yes - free forever, no card, and no signup required to start. It is a community tool: your anonymized milestones sharpen the timing data other applicants see, and theirs help you.
How do I start tracking?
Open Track my PR, enter your pathway, stream (inland or outland), and AOR date, then tick the milestones you already have. You land on a dashboard with your day count, cohort context, and next typical markers - usually in under two minutes.
Does this connect to my IRCC account?
No. We never ask for your GCKey, UCI, or application number, and we have no access to IRCC systems. You check your status in your IRCC account or the official status tracker on canada.ca, then log it here. Be cautious of any tool that claims it can read your IRCC file directly.
Does AORTrack replace the IRCC status tracker?
No. Always trust the official IRCC tracker for your file's actual status. AORTrack complements it by answering what the official tool cannot: is my timeline normal for files like mine? Use both - IRCC for the source of truth, AORTrack for timing context.

Privacy & trust

What we never ask for

What personal information do you collect?
Only what you choose to enter for tracking - typically pathway, stream, AOR date, milestone dates, and optional visa-office details. Community timelines stay anonymized: pathway, AOR month, and milestone days - never a name, email, UCI, or application number.
Will my name or application number show up publicly?
No. Shared journeys and the live community feed never display names, emails, UCIs, or application numbers. What you type in optional WhatsApp, Facebook, or Discord groups is up to you.
Is AORTrack affiliated with IRCC?
No. GetNorthPath and AORTrack are independent community tools and are not affiliated with IRCC or the Government of Canada. For official status and processing standards, always use canada.ca.
Is this legal advice?
No. AORTrack is a timing and community reference tool, not legal advice and not a substitute for a licensed immigration consultant or lawyer when your situation needs one.

Cohorts & timelines

Your AOR-month group

What exactly is a cohort group?
Everyone who received AOR in the same month, on the same stream (inland or outland). Because IRCC broadly processes files in intake order, your AOR-month cohort is the most meaningful comparison group there is. Enter your AOR date and you are in - no separate joining step.
Can I see other people's timelines?
Yes - every tracked application can become an anonymous community timeline showing pathway, AOR month, and milestone days. Filter to your cohort to see what statuses people around your AOR date are getting.
What is the difference between inland and outland?
Inland means you applied from inside Canada; outland means you applied from abroad. Milestone lists differ (for example inland often ends with PR Portal emails and eCOPR; outland often includes a Passport Request). Cohorts and typical-day markers are split by stream so comparisons stay honest.
Which pathways and streams can I track?
Express Entry pathways such as CEC, FSW, FST, and PNP Express Entry, plus Atlantic Immigration Program and spousal sponsorship (inland and outland). Browse the Streams hub for pathway-specific pages, or the Cohorts hub for AOR-month views.

Estimates & milestones

Where the numbers come from

Where do the “typical day” numbers come from?
Community medians from tracked timelines with your pathway and stream. They are reference points, not IRCC promises. Official service standards (for example the Express Entry six-month standard) live on canada.ca; our AOR to PPR guide explains every stage in depth.
How accurate are the estimates?
They reflect what similar community-tracked files have seen so far - useful for pacing, not a guarantee. Sample sizes matter; we show cohort context so a median from nine files is clearly different from one built on hundreds. Always confirm live official estimates on canada.ca.
How do I update milestones when my status changes?
From your dashboard, open edit milestones (or return via Track with edit-milestone). Log the new date when IRCC flips a stage. Fresh logs keep your day counts and your cohort's medians sharper for everyone.
Why do visa offices (PVO / SVO) matter?
Primary and secondary visa offices carry different workloads. Two similar profiles at different offices can hit the same milestone weeks apart. You can save office details in the tracker and compare patterns on the Visa offices page.
What does background check “in progress” mean?
IRCC and partner agencies are verifying admissibility - criminality, security, and information sharing. The status can toggle between Not applicable and In progress more than once; that flip-flop is common and not by itself a red flag.

Community

Optional groups, same wait

Do I have to join WhatsApp or Facebook to use the tracker?
No - the tracker is fully functional on its own. The communities are optional and free; many people join once their file hits the background-check stage and the questions start piling up.
Are the community groups free?
Yes. WhatsApp, Facebook, and Discord communities are free and open to anyone waiting on a Canadian PR decision.
What do people talk about in the groups?
Milestone updates, background-check timing, biometrics and medical questions, visa-office patterns, and moral support during the wait. It is applicants comparing notes - not legal advice, and not affiliated with IRCC.

Account & sharing

Your dashboard and share link

Do I need an account to track?
You can start without a heavy signup flow. Use Login with the email tied to your tracker when you want to return to your dashboard later.
Can I share my journey with someone else?
Yes. Shared journey links are read-only views of your anonymized progress - useful for a partner or family member without giving them your IRCC login.
What if I entered the wrong AOR date or pathway?
Update applicant details and milestones from your dashboard. Correct dates keep your day counts and cohort placement accurate.
Where can I see what is live on AORTrack?
The Roadmap page lists live capabilities, and the Changelog records what shipped recently. Both stay current as the product grows.
